Frequently Asked Questions
Online Personal Training Subscriptions
Q: Will my workouts and other program information be emailed to me?
A: Once your payment is received, you will be sent the questionnaire. When Steve looks over your stats and goals, he'll know what needs to be assessed, for instance, a female who's looking to get her figure back gets a different assessment than an MMA fighter.
Once the assessment is completed and returned, Steve gets your new program out within three days. Once your initial program is emailed, it's up to YOU to continue the dialog. Steve is virtually as accessible as you need him to be. You may email him at any time with any questions, concerns or obstacles related to training that you may encounter. If you feel unmotivated, write and tell him so and he'll buck you up. He is here to coach and encourage and he is on your side. Unfortunately, though he works out enough for three men, he cannot do YOUR workout for you. If he doesn't hear from you, it is neither Steve's responsibility nor practice to pursue you and harass you into training. He does care and he will make inquiries from time to time if someone goes AWOL, but this is not the rule nor what online training is about. The clients who get the best results are already self-motivated in their training, have a history of working out on their own as well as clear goals. What they need is the value Steve's experience and inspiration offer in combination with their own training efforts. If you're ready to work hard but need some creative, results-producing ideas and organizational skills, then you've come to the right coach. Steve can neither set your alarm clock, convince you to keep your New Year's resolutions nor hide the box of donuts. Q: How often will I get information from you?
A: That depends on how much information Steve gets from you!
There is an initial back-and-forth exchanging the questionnaire and assessment. Once you receive your program, Steve will expect a weekly training log (in the format of your choice) as well as any interim questions and comments you may have. Take every advantage of your priority status in Steve's mailbox. When Steve is on the road, he keeps his clients updated and makes every effort to keep communications open. There are few times when he is out of range, or has back-to-back weekend seminars to focus on, but he will give you advance notice and always schedules time to attend to client emails, no matter where his travels take him. Q: Maybe you could provide a sample program/scenario to give me a better idea of what info I will get and how I will get it.
A: Not so fast! Steve's programs are confidential and he asks your compliance. This is how he makes a (modest) living and it's unfair to paying clients for others to get this same information for free.
There are plenty of workouts written up on his blog, if you'd like some examples of his work. The questionnaire and assessment are also proprietary information, unique tools for adapting effective training programs to you, the individual. Workouts come in Word documents with progressions as you adapt, sometimes weekly. You can expect a change-up between 6-8 weeks as workouts become sub-maximal . The trainee who send in her completed log weekly hands-down tends to see the most progressions and realization of stated goals, not to mention greater satisfaction and confidence in general.
