This is a small-group camp with an intentional and individual approach.

While training happens in a group setting, Steve assesses each camper individually based on their experience, movement skills and abilities, as well as their goals to help them refine their game and attain their objectives over time. The focus is not on enforcing a group dynamic but on supporting practical, sustainable growth in your jiu jitsu.

Steve is widely respected across the Gracie family and the broader jiu jitsu community, while remaining independent in his teaching and evaluations. Free from affiliations or the usual politics, he teaches, assesses, and promotes with a critical and well-trained eye.

For players who have lacked consistent guidance or mentorship—or been outright abandoned by unscrupulous instructors—Steve offers clear assessment and, when appropriate, formal evaluation based on skill, readiness, understanding and competence in Gracie self-defense.

This camp reflects that philosophy: focused training, individual attention, and an environment designed to support jiu jitsu for a lifetime.
